Jade Empire: Special Edition is the PC version of the highly-acclaimed Xbox game (scoring 9.9 on IGN) of a few years back. Take Two Interactive, the game’s publisher, has announced that the game has gone gold, and will be released on Feb 27 in the US and Mar 2 in Europe - right on schedule.

For those who don’t know anything about Jade Empire, it’s basically an RPG which utilizes the same engine featured in Knights of the Old Republic I and II. The engine had excellently rendered the idea of having powers executed at the push of a button, and well, whoever thought of Jade Empire must’ve translated that idea to martial arts. The result - kick-ass Asian-influenced martial arts moves and magic systems. Bruce Lee with the occasional fireball.

What’s so special about the Special Edition? The game will feature much improved graphics over it’s Xbox parent, plus more monsters and fighting styles. It will also include an art book and a poster.
