I don’t wanna argue about gaming mags again, but I’m just curious about this magazine I found at a local Mag.Net plainly-yet-clearly titled, Nintendo Gamer Magazine. It was the first issue and costs something around 400 pesos (pretty much the same as with any imported magazine).
The mag is Australia-based, and seeks to be the Nintendo Power in Australia. I don’t know if Nintendo allowed that. (Maybe that’s why it says “unofficial” above the title…) Nintendo Power has a rich history, can NGM dare to compete? Does it come with previews? Reviews? Level maps and strategies? I don’t know. Wait ’till I buy it.
But I read it comes with a free DS stylus!
It’s nice to see an alternative to Nintendo Power - which is very very hard to find. You can only find back issues in Booksale. From MagShop, an Australian subscription site:
Nintendo Gamer will be Australia’s only Nintendo-based magazine featuring all things Wii, DS and GameBoy Advance related. Nintendo Gamer is designed to welcome newcomers to video games and video game magazines, as well as appeal to loyal Nintendo gamers, who are eager to be informed. So whether its news, previews, reviews, features or guides about the latest and upcoming Nintendo games and hardware, Nintendo Gamer will cover it.
